ALA, Omega-3, and Vitamin E Help Diabetics in Study

A small but promising study from the Annals of Medical & Health Sciences Research reported that a combination of alpha lipoic acid (300mg), omega-3 oil (180mg EPA and 120 DHA), and vitamin E (400mg) had a positive effect on resting blood sugar levels and HbA1C compared to no effect in the placebo group.  While these antioxidants have shown positive effect separately in the past, the researchers where encouraged that there may be synergistic effects when taken together.  Of course, as with most of these things, more study is needed.  Here's the link to the original article if you want to read more.
